Funding

Advice and information on funding is provided at CVST.

We can offer advice, guidance and information to voluntary/community groups on:

As part of this service, voluntary and community groups can also access a regular funding news sheet and attend ‘Meet the Funder’ events, which are held to give organisations the ideal opportunity to speak directly to funders about their projects/ideas in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Tendring Compact

The Tendring Compact is an agreement on relations between the Statutory and Voluntary sectors. Organisations are encouraged top sign up and to nominate a Compact Champion for their organisation.   See the Local Compact page for more information.

Tampon Tax Community Fund
A new funding programme has been launched to support women and girls in Essex who are disadvantaged or marginalised.   The Tampon Tax Community Fund uses the money generated from the VAT on sanitary products to award grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 to charities and community organisations. To be eligible to apply, projects must demonstrate how they meet one or more of the three priority areas:
•    Building skills and confidence: This could be giving them the tools needed to apply for jobs and/or return to the workplace
•    Improving health and well-being: For example, educating women how to look after and improve their own mental or physical health
•    Creating social networks: Such as, connecting women to others they can share similar experiences with and support them to feel less lonely
More information and how to apply can be found here: on the website. Please note there is separate criteria and application form. The deadline is Monday 5 November.   Please call the ECF grants team on 01245 356018 if you have any queries.
