Volunteer Recruitment Day

40 Years of Voluntary Activity

An organisation celebrating its fortieth anniversary is holding a volunteer Recruitment Day.  Community Voluntary Services Tendring (CVST) has been supporting the local community since 1973 and this event will mark the start of a year of celebrations.

The volunteer recruitment day will be held at the CVST Community Information Centre on Saturday 26 January between 10am and 2pm.  Anyone looking for a new challenge for the New Year, or wanting to give something back to their community is invited to come along and find out about a wide range of volunteering opportunities across the Tendring District.  Drop in anytime between 10am and 2pm to have a chat with staff and existing volunteers about their experiences. It can be quite daunting finding the right volunteering opportunity, but this open event aims to get over that hurdle and introduce new opportunities that everyone can get involved with.  There will be lots of great ideas to inspire people including opportunities that will enable them to gain experience and training for their CV.

The event is organised by CVST in partnership with the occupants of the Community Information Centre (Essex Carer’s Support, Family Support Clacton – who will also be providing refreshments on the day, Alzheimer’s Society Tendring and Age UK Essex) and the Volunteer Centre Tendring.
