Befriending

Loneliness

If you have feelings of loneliness or are socially isolated you may benefit from a  ‘link’ volunteer.  A link volunteer provides assurance and encouragement and will accompany you to attend local activities until you feel confident to attend without support. In addition, a link volunteer can help with information and guidance.

Befriending services are available from:
Age UK Essex Befriending , Independent Age and  Silver line

If you would like information about volunteering as a link volunteer, please contact us on 01255 425 692 or use the contact us form
