IT for the Terrified!

Where: Catalyst Suite

When: Every Monday 2pm – 4pm

Costs: £2

Want to learn to use a computer, surf the internet, send an email?  Our volunteers would love to show you how.  Just drop in and see us or stay for the whole two hours.

Silver Surfers Club - for the over 50's

Where: Catalyst Suite
When: Every Tuesday 2pm – 4pm

Cost: £2

Come along to our NEW Silver Surfers Club, use our computers and make new friends.  Help is provided. Refreshments included in the price.



Bereavement and Friendship Cafe

Where: Sam's Hall

When: Every Friday 10am - 12noon

Cost: £1

Make new friends, enjoy a cup of tea and socialise.  Regular speakers, information, outings and trips.



Click Clack Craft

Where: Sam's Hall

When: 1st and 3rd Tuesday 2pm - 4pm

Cost: £1

Knitting, crochet and craft group for all abilities.  Bring your own project or try something new - some basic materials and help available for beginners.



Dabblers Art Club

Where: Sam's Hall

When: Every Friday 1pm - 3pm, excluding bank holidays

Cost: £2 per person.

Come and express your creativity. All abilities welcome! Some basic materials are supplied.



FAF Cafe

Where: Sam's Hall

When: Every Wednesday 10am - 12noon

Cost: £1

Make new friends, enjoy a cup of tea and socialise.  Regular speakers, information, outings and trips.



IT Friday

Where: Catalyst Suite

When: Every Friday 9:30am - 11:45am

Costs: Free

Weekly computer drop in sessions for Pier Ward residents to access IT support with experienced volunteers on hand to help.  Tea and Coffee available

Help with job searching, online and written application.


Action on Hearing Loss - Hear to help Service

The hearing aid support service in North East Essex works in partnership with GP Care. Support is provided to hearing aid users fitted by GP Care to enable people to make the most of their hearing aid and manage their hearing loss effectively.

When:  Every 2nd Tuesday of the month 1pm - 3pm

            Every 4th Tuesday of the month 2pm - 4pm

Epilepsy Support Group

For anyone affected by or seeking information about Epilepsy.

Where: Garden Studio

When: Last Tuesday of the Month 10.30am – 12.30pm (no meeting in December)

Carers Wellbeing Group

A chance for carers to chat to other carers in a friendly and informal way.  Advice is also available.

Open to anyone who suffers from central vision loss.  Carers are welcome too.

Tendring Diabetes Group

Do you live with DIABETES or do you care for someone with DIABETES? Come along to the Tendring Diabetes Forum and find out how to manage your condition and have your say about local Diabetes Services.
