Learn New Skills This Summer

There are still lots of courses this summer for local residents looking to improve their skills, learn something new, find a new job or just get out of the house for a few hours.   The next three courses are:

Effective Meetings, Thursday 2nd May 2013 - a vital session for those on committees.

Speaking With Confidence, Wednesday 8th May 2013 – learn how to communicate your point of view effectively in public, during social interactions and on a one to one basis.

Money And You, Thursday 9th May 2013 -  explore your attitude to money and find out whether this helps you or works against you. Take a look at your individual habits around money and budgeting and see how these can be changed for your benefit.  Suitable for anyone interested in how attitudes reflect reality with money.

Most courses are held in the friendly and welcoming Community Information Centre, 20-22 Rosemary, Clacton.  Courses may be free depending on circumstances.  Full details of these and all the other courses can be found on the CVST website or contact Richard Perkins 01255 425 692.  www.cvstendring.org.uk

Come on board and learn new skills

If you are over 19 and want to get to grips with a new skill or brush up on existing skills the CVST Learning programme could be just the thing for you.

There are still lots of courses this spring for local residents looking to improve their skills, learn something new, find a new job or just get out of the house for a few hours. The courses are particularly designed to help people who are currently unemployed get back into work or for those who want to take a smaller step back into education before starting a longer course.

Last year, the Learning programme enabled several learners to gain accredited certificates which led to them being gaining employment.  One learner said “without my food safety certificate I would not have been able to get my job working in the hotel kitchen.  I’m so pleased I made the decision to attend and am very grateful to the learning programme for giving me the opportunity”.  Another learner who attended one of the life skills courses said “coming along to this course gave me the confidence boost I needed to apply for college”

Most courses are held in the friendly and welcoming Community Information Centre, 20-22 Rosemary, Clacton.  The next three courses are:

Desk Top Publishing, Thursday 21 Feb 2013, 9.30am – 1.30 pm

Speaking With Confidence, Wednesday 27 Feb 2013, 1.30pm – 4.30 pm

Introduction To IT, Thursday 28 Feb 2013,9.30am – 1.30 pm
